EP-016 The End Of The Process
Several of the bills covered since January by Oly Insider are nearing the end of their travels through the Legislature. Erica Engelheart and Jay Fratt are back in studio to cover two bills in the House Appropriations Committee and one bill that has breezed through the process awaiting Governor Ferguson’s pen.
SB-5123 – Expanding protections for certain students to promote inclusivity in public schools.
SB-5098 – Restricting the possession of weapons on the premises of state or local public buildings, parks or playground facilities where children are likely to be present, and county fairs and county fair facilities.
Appropriations Committee Public Hearing for both bills.
HB-1133 – Concerning sexually violent predators.
